Elizabeth Hildreth Fritts
Lenoir City - Elizabeth Hildreth Fritts - age 92, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Saturday evening, March 20, 2021 at her son's home in Lawrenceburg, TN. Elizabeth was a faithful Christian, wife, mother, sister, friend and member of the Church of God. On December 16, 1951, Elizabeth married the love of her life, Curtis Fritts and they demonstrated covenant love and faithfulness to their family and community for almost 60 years. Elizabeth was blessed with the gift of hospitality, always delighting to provide food and fellowship for those who crossed her path. Her home was often filled with guests from near and far, where meals were shared and space was given to ensure that everyone present knew they were valued and loved. She also served her community as an educator, teaching in the Lenoir City School System for 42 years.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Curtis Fritts; father and mother, H.E. and Georgia Hildreth; her daughter, Ramona Fritts Evans; father and mother-in-law, Bill and Pearl Fritts; brothers, Bill Hildreth and Joe Hildreth; sister, Margaret Hamilton; sisters-in-law, Ruth Hildreth and Bettie Hildreth; brother-in-law, Rev. Fred Brannen.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Charles & Rosemary Fritts, son-in-law; Mike Evans; grandchildren: Christopher Garmon (Brittany), Will Fritts, Bethany Fritts, Gabe Evans (Catherine), Samuel Fritts, and Nathanael Fritts; great grandchildren, Jayden Garmon, Zayne Garmon, Ellie Fritts, Harper Evans, Aerie Garmon, Rylan Garmon, Hudson Evans and Henry Evans; brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Jan Hildreth, Dewain and Debbie Hildreth; sister, Frances Brannen; sister-in-law, Sandra Hildreth; brother-in-law, Jim Hamilton (Nell). The family is thankful for those who have helped provide care for Elizabeth during the last couple of years, especially for the care of Bethany Fritts and Compassus Hospice during her last few weeks. A Celebration of Life will be held at 6 p.m. on May 16th at Cornerstone Church of God, 12813 Kingston Pike, Farragut with Rev. Charles Fritts and Rev. Steve McCullar officiating. Face masks are required and social distancing requested.
