EVERETT HOWARD KITTS

KITTS, EVERETT HOWARD - age 76, known by everyone as Ebb, went to be with the Lord and his loved ones in heaven on Tuesday, October 02, 2012. He was born on July 07, 1936 in Rutledge, TN. He was a regional supervisor for many years with the Blue Circle restaurants throughout Eastern Tennessee. He owned and operated Kitts Restaurant on Woodlawn Avenue and Heiskell Avenue in Knoxville. He has resided in Grainger County for the past 11 years. Preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Kitts, Ruby Floyd and Mayford Floyd; his sister, Imogene Kitts Thomason; and his great grandson, Eli Overholt. Ebb is survived by his daughter, Genia Ventiere (David) of Strawberry Plains, TN; sister, Faye Morgan (Bill) of Knoxville, TN. He also leaves behind two grandchildren, Meghann (Derrick) Overholt of Knoxville, TN and Keith Ventiere of Strawberry Plains, TN. Ebb also leaves behind aunts, uncles, several nieces and nephews; a very dear cousin, Doyle Roberts (Christine); and his special friend who has continuously been by his side, Flo; and the residents at Cambridge Apartments. The family would like to thank the caring staff of Ridgeview Terrace who cared for him in his last days. Funeral services will be 8:00 P.M. Friday, October 5, 2012 in the chapel of Smith-Reagan Funeral Home in Rutledge with Doyle Roberts officiating. Graveside services will be 11:30 A.M. Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Grainger Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Tim Evans, Dylan Evans, Vince Morgan, Noble Cameron, Rob Russell, Keith Ventierre, and Alberto Martinez. The family will receive friends 6:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. Friday, October 5, 2012 prior to services at the funeral home. Smith-Reagan Funeral Home of Rutledge in charge of arrangements.
