Flossie May Hawkins

HAWKINS, FLOSSIE MAY - of Powell died October 27, 2008 at Shannondale Health Care, Knoxville, TN. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She worked for JCPenney Company on Gay Street and she and her husband owned the Seymour Motel in Seymour, TN from 1961 to 1985. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter R. Hawkins; parents, and two brothers. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Juanita and Jim Williams of Powell, TN; grandchildren and spouses, Libby and Kenneth Davis, Coni and Gary Hennersdorf, Kim and Chris Towe; great grandchildren, Amanda Davis, Cassie Davis, Mike Towe, and Leah Towe; sister and brother-in-law, Marietta and Rev. Lester Crayton of Ashville, NC; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 30 at Stevens Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Bill Akers and Rev. Lester Crayton officiating. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Tazewell Pike, Knoxville, TN. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 4708 Papermill Dr. Knoxville, TN 37909.
