Gloria Roseberry Obituary

ROSEBERRY, GLORIA J. - formerly of Knoxville, died Sunday, February 3, 2008 in Florida where she had moved to be near her daughter. A native of New Jersey, Gloria moved to Oak Ridge in 1946 to work for the Atomic Energy Commission. While there, she met her husband, Bob Roseberry who was pursuing his Pharmacy degree. They moved to Knoxville and she worked alongside of him at Long's Drug Store and then as owners of Sequoyah Hills Drugs which they co-owned with Lee Roseberry. They later worked at West Hills Pharmacy. Gloria was an active member of the American Business Women's Association and was their 1985 Woman of the Year. She was also a member of the Tennessee Rose Society and Grace Covenant Church. Her husband, Robert Bruce Roseberry preceded her in death in December. She leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Bryce Laraway of Deland, FL; brothers, Gene and Bob Roseberry; nephew, Lee Roseberry, Jr. and his wife, Kim and their children, Amanda, Sara, and Jonathan; and her niece, Barbara Roseberry Fling. The family will receive friends 1-2:00 P.M. Saturday at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel followed by a 2:00 P.M. funeral service with Dr. Alan Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. www.rosemortuary.com

I was so sorry to hear of Mrs Roseberry's death. I remember her well from when she and Mr Roseberry had Sequoyah Drugstore. It was a great place to hang out and I have so many happy memories!
