Harvey Roe Obituary

ROE, MR. HARVEY - age 96 of Chatsworth, went to be with the Lord and his beloved wife, Bertie Roe of 73 years on Friday, May 26, 2006. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertie Roe; parents, Will and Flerdia Roe; a brother, Claude Roe and sisters, Onia Johnson and Laura Mae Holcomb. Survivors include daughters and sons in law, Ruby and Marvin Witherow of Chatsworth, Pat and Dr. T.D. Hooker of Norris, Tenn. grandchildren, David and Jimmy Witherow, Jeanine Reeder, Diane Hooker and Carol Gillespie; great grandchildren, Russell Witherow and Kelly Hardin, Logan and Jake Witherow, Miranda Golden, Bridgette Hatmaker, Evan and Lauren Gillespie; great, great, grandchildren, Jonathan Pangle and Kris (Buck) Witherow; a number of nieces, nephews and friends also survive; and a special friend, Robert Kriens of Chatsworth Health Care Center. Funeral services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at the Holly Creek Baptist Church with Dr. Danny Cochran, Dr. T.D. Hooker and the Rev. J.D. Cox officiating, with interment to follow in Murray Memorial Gardens. The remains will lie in state at the church 30 minutes prior to the funeral service at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday after 4 p.m. until the funeral hour on Monday. Peeples Funeral Home and Crematory of Chatsworth is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
