Helen Woods Peeler
Sevierville - Helen Woods Peeler, age 87 of Sevierville, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2021.Helen was a lifelong member of Henderson Chapel Baptist Church. She graduated from Sevier County High School where she was a member of the Smoky Bears Basketball team. She retired from Electro-Voice after 30 years of service.
Helen and her husband E.C. were involved in many civic organizations. She was a lifetime member of the Gatlinburg American Legion Auxiliary, the VFW Auxiliary, a 50year member of the Vonore 383 Eastern Star, and served as past state President of the Tennessee Lady Elks. She was an assistant Girl Scout leader for many years.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Earl C. Peeler, parents, Troy L. and Dora T. Woods, brother, Troy L. "T.L." Woods, Jr, two infant sisters, nephew, Jeffrey, and special friends, Doris Jean Burchfield McCollum and Betty Jo Ailey.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lesa Peeler Martin (Rick), two grandchildren who were her pride and joy, Tyler Martin (Emily) of Nashville, Katelyn Martin of Sevierville, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, June and Hugh B Collins of Seymour, nieces, Cindy Keck (Kevin), Connie Gamble (Brian) and Carol Dixon (Randy) all of Seymour, and a host of family and friends.

Family and friends may pay their respects 1-3 PM Sunday, February 21st with funeral service to follow at 3 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home. Rev. Rick Loveday and Rev. Hudson Chesteen will officiate.
