Jack Dale Obituary
Rockwood, TN
Jack C. Dale, Sr., age 82, died December 27, 2015, at The Bridge at Rockwood nursing home. He was born in 1933 to the late Andrew Malvan and Marie Winona (Shore) Dale in Altoona, Pennsylvania; married Vivian Johnson in 1955, and moved to and lived in Memphis, Tennessee, until his retirement from the Internal Revenue Service, relocating with his wife to her farm in Sardis, Tennessee. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1953 and retired in 1993 as a Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy Reserves after over 40 years of military service. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, hunting and boating.
He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Vivian J. Dale of Friendsville, TN; their two sons and daughters in-law: Jack C. (Sherry) Dale, Jr., Friendsville, TN and Rex A.(Amy) Dale, Lenoir City, TN; daughter, Jennifer D. Goodwin, Maryville, TN; five grandchildren, Jackson Dale, Summer Knight, and Michael, Mikala and Joshua Goodwin.
He will be placed to rest with full military honors provided by the US Navy and the Volunteer State Veterans Honor Guard at a private ceremony held at the E. Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E.
