James Bosson Obituary

BOSSON, JAMES DILLON - age 85 of Knoxville passed away April 20, 2011. James was a veteran of the U.S. Navy in WWII serving in the Pacific Theatre Landing Craft LCI (R) 1026, seeing action during the battle of Okinawa and Philippines Operations. He retired from Knoxville News Sentinel after thirty plus years of employment. Preceded in death by parents William Vaughn and Mayrine Gamble Bosson; wife Wanda Holloway Bosson. Survived by son and daughter-in-law Thomas Vaughn and Stephanie Bosson; daughter Holly Bosson; grandchildren Meredith Leigh and Mary Kate Bosson; brother John R. Bosson and wife Marian; brother-in-law Ed Holloway; sisters in-law Sunny Vance, and Gypsy Finley. Family will receive friends Friday 6-8 pm at Weaver Funeral Home with service to follow at 8 pm. Pastor Don Thomas officiating. Family and friends will meet 12:45 pm Saturday at Lynnhurst Cemetery for a 1:00 pm interment. Condolences may be made on our website weaverfuneralservices.com.
