Sending my condolences and thoughts to the family. Mr. Chesney was my homeroom teacher when I got to Austin-East and we briefly worked together years later for the City. Sleep on Mr. Chesney and get your rest. We loved you here, but God loved you best.

Rev. Chesney was the Moderator of the London District when I became the Pastor of Hamilton Chapel. He and Sister Chesney welcomed us with open arms. Because of his leadership and trust, I was elected to succeed him as the moderator. After he retired because of health reasons, he remained a role model for all Christians as to how we should deal with adversity with his daily devotional readings and prayers. Thank you Rev. Chesney. You definitely earned your heavenly reward.❤❤❤❤

James or as I have known him for most of my life (Rusty) you will be missed there are not many people that have the Spirit of unconditional love of people and of God that you have I remember the first time I came to Knoxville and stayed with you and your family, I understand where your love comes from from the very first minute I met your grandma Hannah I knew I was in the presence of gods spiritual beauty and I know that she imparted that on you Jack and Virginia you are more than acquaintance I considered you to be part of my family along with Jack (Teddy) and Virginia. I know you have found your rest in our Lord and I know that when he met you at the gates of heaven he said these words to you “well done my good and faithful servant enter into the house of your father.”
And to your wife and son and your whole family please except my heartfelt condolences it is a sad day And then again it is a very joyous day because Rusty You have earned a seat at the banquet of our Lord. Until the day that we are all reunited in paradise rest in the peace and love of our Lord.

My condolences to the family. James and I worked together for several years at the City of Knoxville. For my first couple of years, James and I shared an office; he was always a kind man and very pleasant to work with. James was a great ambassador for the gospel of Jesus and touched the lives of many many people. James will definitely be missed.

Rusty, you and I met many years ago in The Bronx when you came to visit your uncle Woody. I will always remember you as a kind and gentle man and the embodiment of love. Your uncle Woody and your family were always family to my family. If not for your uncle Woody, I would not be here today. He was like a second father to me. I am so glad to have met you and I know you are now dancing in Heaven with your Lord and Savior. Enjoy your mansion in Heaven. Until we meet again my friend.
