JANET TEAGUE SIMCOX

SIMCOX, JANET TEAGUE (GRAN) - age 60, of Powell passed away Sunday March 16th, 2014, after a hard fought battle with cancer. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 39 plus years, Neil W. Simcox (Pap); daughter, Shawna S. Hibben and son-in-law Paul G. Hibben III; along with their children Kelsie, Anna, and Emma; son, Charles D. Simcox; and children, Derrik and Kiley; along with nephew, Jud Teague and family; nieces, Jill Teague Cornwell and Jana Teague. She is also survived by father-in-law, Charles E. Simcox; and brother-in-law, Harold D. Simcox and family; brother-in-law, Clay Young and family; along with several cousins, nieces and nephews. Janet was preceded in death by her father, Judge P. Teague; mother, Wanda L Teague; and brothers Jack E. Teague and Ralph F. Teague. She was also preceded in death by sister-in-law, Jody Simcox Young; and mother-in-law, Mildred Reed Simcox. A casual receiving of friends will be held at Dante Baptist Church, 314 Brown Road, in Knoxville, TN 37918 on Sunday, March 23, from 1:30 - 3:30 with memorial to follow, Pastor Phillip Murphy officiating. The family asks, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to KARM (Knoxville Area Rescue Ministries) in which Janet and Neil were both strong supporters.
