BUTTS, JERRY LYNN - slept away into glory, Friday May 26, 2006 at Parkwest Hospital in Knoxville, TN. Born December 8, 1945 in Madisonville, TN to parents, Mattie Scruggs and Homer Butts. Member of Mount Cumberland Presbyterian Church in the Piney Community in Sweetwater, TN. Preceded in death by: son, Christopher Lynn Butts; grandchildren; parents; brother, David Michael (Marky Mark) Scruggs; grandparents; nephew; devoted aunts and uncles to include his doting aunt, Mrs. Willie Mae Sheerer. Survivors: Stella Butts; devoted and loving daughters and son-in-law, Charnette (Cori) Johnson, Houston, TX, Shan-Dia Butts, Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, ShaKeisha Butts and Maurice Hendricks, both of Knoxville, TN; devoted sister, Annette Bell (Bennie); aunts, Cora Scruggs, Athens, TN; special aunt, Sarah Moore Greene; brother and sisters-in-law, Richard Walker, Brenda Scruggs, Rev. Joseph and Mildred Smith, Rosa Farmer, Betty Fuller and Sandra Maloney; a host of nieces and nephews to include: devoted nephews, Kenneth and Jeffrey Bell; many family members to include: Butts, Scruggs, Davis, Francis, Banks, Henderson, Carson, Stevens, Perry, Morgan, Colbert and his church Families.
