John Temple Obituary
April 9, 1953-October 7, 2020.
John passed away on October 7, 2020 in Houston, Texas. John was born in Chattanooga, TN, and his family moved to Knoxville when John was a boy. He graduated from Webb School of Knoxville where he played football, in 1971. He then graduated from his beloved University of Tennessee four years later, where he was a proud member of Kappa Sigma fraternity.
John worked for American Hospital Supply Corporation in Charlotte, NC following college, and then moved to Houston in 1979 to pursue commercial real estate, where he enjoyed a long and successful 40 year career putting together commercial real estate sales and leases.
He initially worked at two of Texas' largest development firms, Vantage Development, and Hines Interests, before starting his own firm, The Temple Company in 1985. John loved fishing and sailing and was happiest when he was on a boat surrounded by family and friends having fun.
John was preceded in death by his parents (John and Omalee), and his sister (Nancy). He is survived by his daughter (Caroline) and son (JonHenry).
