Judith Margaret Wright Brewer

Judith Brewer Obituary

BREWER, JUDITH MARGARET WRIGHT - 65, of Knox County, entered into her Heavenly home while surrounded by her family on Saturday, March 1, 2008. She has earned her angels wings after a tough and courageous four year battle with cancer. Judy was a member of Corryton Baptist Church. Judy exemplified how to battle this disease with courage, love and grace. She was loved by many and everyone around her enjoyed her English accent. Judy was born to the late Thomas and Rosie Wright in England. She met the love of her life, Lewis Brewer, in 1964, and moved to the United States in 1966 to be married. Judy graduated from the University of London in 1963 and taught first grade at Temple Baptist School in Powell for 22 years touching hundreds of lives before retiring and living out her dream on a small horse farm. Her love of horses still lives on through her granddaughter. Surviving family includes loving spouse of 42 years, Mr. Lewis Brewer; son and wife, Scott and Cindy Brewer; daughter and husband, Caroline and Steve Tourville; three grandchildren, Courtney and Bradley Tourville and Alex Brewer; and many other extended family members. Family and friends will gather at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 between 6-7:30pm followed by a celebration of life at 7:30pm with Dr. Rocky Ramsey officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Horse Haven of Tennessee, P.O. Box 22841, Knoxville, TN 37933, and (865)609-4030. A guestbook and additional information are available at www.lynnhurstchapel.com and you are invited to share your thoughts and memories of Judy at her memorial website at www.MeM.com.

You have my deepest sympathies. Both of my sons were blessed to have had Mrs. Brewer for their first grade teacher and they loved her as did all the students. I too was very fortunate to have worked with her there at Temple Baptist Academy. She was a wonderful person, teacher and Christian.

Lewis, Scott, Caroline and family,
Our deepest sympathy goes out to each of you. We remember Judy as a wonderful neighbor and friend from the early 1970's, living on Meadowbrook Circle. She was a special lady and we know you'll cherish a wealth of memories...
God bless you all.
