Dearest Kathy and Sam:
Your mother was so dear to my father, her brother and always a source of strength to me -- a very strong and loving woman-a pioneer career woman of her generation. She loved you both so very much and your gentle father, George. May she rest in peace with him.

What a lovely lady she was! I so enjoyed working with her at UT in the 1970s. She was the kindest person I ever met.
