Lee Harrell Obituary

HARRELL, LEE V. - age 78, of Morristown, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at his home of congestive heart failure. He was born August 9, 1930 in Hawkins County. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was retired from BASF after 34 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Nancy Harrell; five brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Reba Buchanan Harrell; son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Tamara Harrell of Sevierville; daughter and son-in-law, Patty and Keith Dockery of Knoxville; grandchildren, Neil Cutshaw and wife Rachel of Chesapeake, VA, Patrick Harrell and wife Joi of Sevierville, and Christy Harrell of Sevierville; step-grandchildren, Jon Dockery and wife Kristin of Smyrna and Kim Garner and husband Brad of Walland; six great-grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many, many wonderful friends. The family would like to thank the staff of Amedisys Home Health Care and Adventa Hospice Services, and to all of the many friends, neighbors, and relatives who helped make Lee's last months a happy time with your kindness, generosity, and visits. The family would also like to thank the doctors and nurses at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, 2nd North, for their kindness and understanding. Lee was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. Thursday, September 18, 2008 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Henagar officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, September 19, 2008 at Hamblen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 - 8 p.m. Thursday, prior to the services at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Ray Tharp, Ron Combs, Luther Moyers, Mack Shiflet, Hubert Masoner, and George Turner. Memorials may be given to Calvary Baptist Church, 706 Rosedale Ave. Morristown, TN 37813. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
