There are things that we don't want to happen but have to accept, things we don't want to know but have to learn, and people we can't live without but have to let go.

A memory is a way of holding onto the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose.

Know that GOD is with you always no matter how you feel, what you think or when you grieve.

March 10, 2009

On Behalf of the Barksdale, McCleskey and Mallory Family, We ask the Lord to bestow the upmost blessings within the realm of Peace, Prayer, and Healing. As you comprehend this profound loss, let yourself cry knowing each tear is a note of love rising from the heavens. Like a bird singing in the rain, let grateful memories survive in a time of sorrow.

Verses for Memory of Loved Ones

When we remember your smile,
It brightens our day,
And thoughts of your warmth and love,
Seem to smooth the way,
Your gentle spirit is still with us,
Though you are gone,
Sunny days, cool breezes,
Always for you---

No farewell words were spoken,
No time to say goodbye,
You were gone before we knew it,
And only God knows why.

His life is a beautiful memory,
His death is a silent grief;
He sleeps in God's beautiful garden,
In sunshine of perfect peace,
I miss him oh so much,
But realize God knew best,
He let me have him many years,
Then gently bid him rest.

You have left this world of sorrow, and are free from pain and harm, and now rest in peace and comfort, in the blessed Savior’s arms.

In tears we saw you sinking,
We watched you fade away,
Our hearts were almost broken,
You fought so hard to stay,
But when we saw you sleeping,
So peacefully free from pain,
We could not wish you back,
To suffer that again."

Death leaves a heartache
No one can heal;
Love leaves a memory
No one can steal.

His helping hand was always first to render any aid he could. His voice was always raised in praise; his words were wise and good. Dear father, since you've gone away, the ones you loved so true, try hard to carry on the way, we know you'd want us to.

He left us quietly,
His thoughts unknown,
But left us a memory,
We are proud to own;
So treasure him Lord,
In Your garden of rest,
For when on earth,
He was one of the best.

You could not say goodbye to us, you could not clasp our hand; but God has taken one we loved off to His heavenly land.

Until we meet again, may God
Hold you in the palm of his hand.

Gone yet not forgotten,
Although we are apart,
Your spirit lives within me,
Forever in my heart.

We think of you in silence,
We often speak your name,
But all we have are memories,
And your picture in a frame.
Your resting place we visit,
And put flowers there with care,
But no one knows the heartache,
As we turn and leave you there.

In all the world we shall not find a heart so loving and so kind, so soft a voice, so sweet a smile, an inspiration so worthwhile, a sympathy so sure, so deep, a love so wonderful to keep.

To Sherri and Tom
When you walk with God, you can do anything
It doesn't matter what problems life may bring
You may have your days of ups and downs
But if you call out, He'll be around

When you walk with God, your heart will sing
From the love and joy His presence brings
Your path will be clear, for He is the light
But you must walk with faith and not by sight

When you walk with God, you join a Holy Team
The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost is what I mean
They will shower you with an abiding faith
And fill your heart with love and not with hate
