Marc Alan Curry

Knoxville - Marc Alan Curry, 36, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020.

Marc was a graduate of Farragut High School where he was a three-year letter-winner for the Admirals Basketball team. He was also named as the Knoxville News-Sentinel Player of the Year and was voted All-District and All-Region his junior year and All-State as a senior. He was a two-year track letter winner and earned All-District and All Region honors. Marc attended Milligan College where he earned All-Freshman and All-Conference honors in 2003. Marc was a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University where he was a sprinter for the track team. He graduated MTSU in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree.

Marc followed the path of his father and other family members and became a proud and dedicated member Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Marc was also a highly-skilled certified welder. He was a part of the Int'l Brotherhood - Boilermakers/Boilermakers Local Union 454. When not working, he was an avid motorcycle rider who loved rides with his friends. He also enjoyed watching football and basketball and enjoying time with his circle of dedicated friends.

Family was very important to Marc! He enjoyed spending time with his three daughters and son as they were his pride and joy. He was a dedicated son who always made sure his parents had what they needed. He was an amazing brother who adored his older sister and always made sure he was around when she was in town. He also was a great uncle to his two nieces.

Marc is survived by his children, Trinity Allana Marie Curry, Myah Avery Curry, Halle Elizabeth Curry and Marc Joseph Curry; father and mother, Johnny and Anita W. Curry; sister and brother-in-law, Alicia C. and Brian Kelley; nieces, Aven and Bryle Kelley; uncle, Ronald (Sheryl) Curry and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Tuesday, January 5, 2020, a public walkthrough from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 1807 Dandridge Avenue, Knoxville, TN. Social distancing and face coverings are required. A graveside service will follow at Highland Memorial West, 9913 Sherril Boulevard, Knoxville, TN, where a white dove release will conclude the service. During this time, we will remain in compliance with the Governor's Executive Order No. 17 (COVID-19). Flowers may be delivered to the church the morning of the walkthrough. I remember Marc as the most pleasant young man at Farragut Middle. Even as a young teenager he was polite, and well mannered. Anita and John taught him well. I enjoyed teaching him and his sister Alisha. Blessings in God's love to the family.
