Matthew Scott Obituary
Knoxville, TN - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Matthew M. Scott, 32, of Knoxville, TN on February 14, 2021. Matt was a much loved son, grandson, father and friend. He was a graduate of Temple Baptist Academy and received a Cyber Security degree from the College of the Air Force. He worked in the IT department at US Bank in Knoxville. He proudly served 14 years in the Air Force National Guard at McGhee Tyson Air Base in Alcoa, TN. Matt enjoyed riding the trails in his jeep, camping, music and spending time with his family and friends. He will always be remembered with love by those who knew him.
Matt is preceded in death by his younger brother Andrew, and his grandpapaw Ted Stanford. Matt is survived by his wife Rachel, sons Alex and Harrison, parents Mike and Annette, grandparents George Scott, Ron and Rita Patterson, Sandra Stanford, aunts and uncles Rick and Tommi, Erik, Jonathan and Sarah Bradford, Jeff and Patricia Stanford, and cousins Adam, Ethan, Emma, Jackson, and Avonleigh.
A private ceremony will be held for the family at a later date.

We were saddened to hear this news. I recall seeing the family in the front yard, Matthew hanging a swing, Rachel planting flowers, and the boys helping. Condolances to all the family.
