Dear friends,
Nellie's service was a beautiful tribute to her life. I read the Old Testament lesson....Iasiah 61:1-3. When she asked me...months ago...she said it was for comfort. Liz, Jamey, Caroline, Beth, and most of all her faithful companion, Jack were there along with grandchildren and extended family. As her ashes were placed in the churchyard a soft rain was falling. Fitting.
She and I shared a continuous life of love and laughter for 62 years. I shall miss her terribly.

To Nellie's family...
My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.
Nellie and I were friends during our childhood and teens. I spent many a night in her home. Her parents were special people. We enjoyed being in the Girl Scouts together.
She was well liked by all and such a lovely person, not only in looks, but her heart also.
Nellie did so much for so many..A girl from a small town, Moulton, "did us proud".
God bless you.

The heaven is much brighter today and laughter abounds as Nellie holds court.
Our hearts ache in her passing, but are much fuller for having known such a remarkable lady...lady, in every sense of the word.
