Neva Kate "Katie" Haggard

HAGGARD, NEVA KATE (KATIE) - 83, of Strawberry Plains, passed away Friday, May 2, 2008 at her home. She was a member of Eastmore Church of God. She was a retired employee of Levi Strauss. She was preceded in death by her husband, A. L (Archie) Haggard; parents, John and Maggie Lye Nichols; sister, Martha Nichols; brothers, Charles and James Nichols; niece, Mary Anne Nichols. She leaves a step son and a step daughter-in-law, Archie and Sue Haggard of Knoxville; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Pauline Pollard, Chattanooga, and Anna Maude Cline of Strawberry Plains; brother, Floyd Nichols of Strawberry Plains; nephews and nieces, Terry, Johnny, Bill, Charles Nichols and J.C. Pollard, Darlene Herriman and Charlene Bolin. Funeral service 2:30 p.m., Monday at Eastmore Church of God with The Rev. Gregg Causey, The Rev. Billy Baker and The Rev. Don Ingram officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from 1-2:30 p.m. before services. Interment will follow in the Blue Springs Cemetery. The family received friends after 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the family home.
