Pearl Walker Le Sueur

Knoxville - Pearl Walker Le Sueur, age 92, of Knoxville died at home on Saturday June 26, 2021. She was a devoted Christian and member of New Covenant Presbyterian Church. She was born and raised in Sevierville where she played ladies basketball for Sevier County High School. Upon graduation she came to Knoxville to live. She married the love of her life, James, at the age of 21. They were married for fifty-five years and raised three children. She worked for twenty-five years for Regas Restaurant as a waitress. She worked under the original owners, Mr. Frank and Mr. Gus. She loved her job and continued to stay in touch with friends made there throughout her life. She was a member of North Knoxville Civitan Club. After retirement she and James lived in Pigeon Forge for seventeen years. They returned to Knoxville in 2000. She was preceded in death by husband, James Le Sueur; parents, Victor and Lizzie Walker; brothers, Dal Walker, Hal Walker, and Billy Joe Walker; sisters, Ida Welch, Trula Cannon, Inez Smelser, Frankie Webb, and Juanita Lehane; brothers-in-law, Harry Le Sueur and Chuck Le Sueur; and sister-in-law, Martha Le Sueur Maples. She is survived by children, Eddie Le Sueur (Sara), Timothy Le Sueur, and Sherry Le Sueur of Knoxville; and many loving nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Thursday July 1, 2021, at ROSE FUNERAL AND CREMATION BROADWAY. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. George K. Preston, III officiating. The family and friends will gather at 10:45 am Friday July 2, 2021, at Highland Memorial Cemetery (Sutherland Avenue) for an 11:00 am interment service. Honorary Pallbearers are Gary Smelser, Brett Le Sueur, Derrick Le Sueur, Gary Maples, Karl Thomas, Eric Thomas, and Greg Walters. I only meet Pearl a couple of times when I attended my moms church...however I know she was a dear friend for over 50ty years too my mom and will be missed dearly by her...they spoke often on the phone..she asked if I would sign the book on line for her as she was not able to attend the services ..know that her heart is broken and thinking of each and everyone ..Iva Holbert God Bless..May you find comfort in knowing that she is walking the streets of Gold..To never to be seperated eternity what a glorious day..
