Dr. Chironna was my doctor for 18 years. He treated me at Patricia Neal Rehab Center at Fort Sanders Hospital for 3 months after I was discharged from UT Hospital. I had a near death accident after falling 20 feet landing face down on concrete. I was broken up all over. UT gave up on me many times expecting me to die. I was discharged from there after being in the CCU for 3 weeks. I was supposed to have one week of physical therapy at UT before going to Patricia Neal Rehab in order to get me ready for the rehab I would be having there. But I had NO rehab at UT. So I went from CCU to Patricia Neal Rehab and was thankfully put in the care of Dr. Robert Chironna. It was a long road for me and my wife. But we honestly believe that if it had not been for the care given to me by Dr. Chironna I would not have made it. My Insurance Company wanted to have me discharged and put in a nursing home after a short time at Patricia Neal Rehab. But with my wife and Dr. Chironna fighting for me I was able to remain there. Dr. Chironna continued seeing me on a regular basis for the next 18 years. He was a very caring person, a good Christian man, and a member of the Gideons and I was also. I could always make him laugh at every visit. It broke my heart and my wife's heart to hear of his last fight with cancer and his death. But we know he is in Heaven now where we will be able to be with him again someday soon. Our very deepest sympathy goes out to his wife, children, and grandchildren. We want you to know that we truly loved Dr. Chironna and miss him dearly.

My Dearest Dr. R. Chironna, this has to be one of the saddest days of my life. Just found out the passing of one of God''s greatest warriors. Dr. Chironna was my Dr. for 20 plus year's a great human being. There's nothing that he wouldn't do for you in his professional field, he was my best friend, I am truly saddened by his passing, but Heaven gained a true Angel. Lord help me because I lost one of my best Friends/Doctors. I will definitely see him on the other side. The Reall Deal Doctor. One Of The Greatest Man On This Earth. ..

I am just learning of the passing of Dr. Chironna. Dr Chironna was my Doctor for 19 years. He was not just my Doctor he was my Friend. He was such a kind gentle dear man. He was my Favorite Doctor, that always told me the truth weather it was good or bad. Although he was a quiet man, I could always make him laugh. I enjoyed every visit I had with Dr. Chironna. I will never forget Dr. Chironna for his kindness, compassion and understanding. There will never be another Doctor like him. I will always be grateful that I had the very best Doctor on the planet.

My sincere condolences to his wonderful Family, that he loved so much. May God bless you every day that you have to live without him.

May you rest in Heavenly peace Dr. Chironna. Until we meet again....

Dr. Chironna was an amazing man and doctor. He has touched and saved so many people's lives. I myself was blessed to be treated by him at Patricia Neal and at his practice for years. My father Paul Kirkpatrick was thought to never recover and through the treatment of him and the re jab team my father is well and living! My grandmother had a stroke at an old age and Dr. Chironna treated her as well ( Constance Jackson ). I Cayra Kirkpatrick am so grateful for his knowledge and care, because of him myself, my father and grandmother were able to walk again and function in life. My condolences to his family and close friends. However thank you for sharing him with the world because without him many people wouldn't have the lives they live today. Thank you Dr. Chironna, rest easy, may The Lord take care of you. Because you deserved it and earned it! He wasn't a man of many words but I was able to make him smile and laugh and I know that will never be enough to repay him for all the good he has done for me and family. However it was what I could give to an extraordinary man!!!

So very sorry for your families loss. My son, Micah, was a patient of Dr Chironas for 14 years. He suffered multiple injuries in a car accident and hope was not something he was given. Dr Chirona did not and would not give up on him. Thankfully, I got to spend additional time with my son due to Dr Chironas efforts... and Im so grateful for everything he did. Special prayers for his family and know how appreciative my family is of him.

Dr Chironna was my husband's doctor for almost 15 years. We were the last patient he saw when he closed his practice. It was a bittersweet day. Sweet because we were able to visit with him once more and let him know how much he meant to us... I want you to know he met the world to us. He was always such a caring, compassion doctor and he was also our friend. We loved to hear the stories of his family, travels and art. We always laughed together.
Dan and I envision him now in Heaven rejoicing in Glory with paintbrush in hand.
We are praying for you, his loving family. He spoke so highly and proudly of you All. May God give each of you the Peace Beyond Understanding, comfort and strength.
Love, Pam and Dan Radford

I enjoyed working with Dr. Chironna at PNRC. He had such a pleasant, kind spirit. Though a quiet person, he always showed his appreciation to us nurses. We appreciated him taken time out of his busy schedule to bring us treats on the weekends. It was his way of telling us thanks for all we did. Praying that God brings comfort to his family.

Such a tragic loss. He will be missed by so many. He was such a kind, caring, loving, and thoughtful person and an amazing doctor! My dad loved him as his doctor because he was so respectful and a great man! He touched many of our lives! I miss him coming to our medical office once a week to do nerve conduction studies! He was quiet but so sweet and nice to talk to. Praying for peace, comfort, understanding, and guidance for all the family during this difficult time especially around the holidays. May his name and legacy live on forever in respect of him. My deepest sympathy,
