Robert C. Walker, age 83 of Sevierville, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015. He was a member of Freedom Baptist Church. Robert worked at Cherokee Textile Mills for 47 years and later at SAS Outlet Store. He enjoyed being outdoors and gardening. Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Dorothy Walker; and his brother, Elliott Walker. Robert is survived by his adoring wife, Wanda Walker; sons, David Walker and wife, Debbie, and Eddie Walker and wife, Holly; grandchildren, Ginger McCrory and husband, Ronnie, Noah, Dustyn and Kaiya Walker; great-grandchildren, Logan Trotter, Brayden Ray and Avery McCrory; brother, George Walker and wife, Shirley, of Nashville; sister-in-law, Carolyn Walker; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friends, James Smelcer and DeWayne Burchfiel.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Freedom Baptist Church Missions.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM Sunday with the funeral service to follow at 3:30 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville with Rev. Ed Parton, Rev. Wayne Cook and Rev. Dale Ellenburg officiating. Graveside service 11:00 AM Monday at Atchley's Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens, Pigeon Forge with Rev. Ed Parton and Noah Walker officiating.
