Robert L. Woodson Jr.

WOODSON, ROBERT L., JR. - age 85 of LaFollette, passed away January 2, 2007 at UT Medical Center, Knoxville. A loyal member of LaFollette United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by father, R.L. "Pop: Woodson, mother, Rowena Hobbs Woodson and wife, Ethel Sharp Woodson, grandson, Adam Woodson Hall. Survived by daughter, Harriet W. Hall of LaFollette; son, Robert L. (Rob) Woodson, III and wife, Elaine; granddaughters, Rowena Woodson Schimmel and husband, Andrew of Nashville, Maria Woodson of LaFollette; grandsons, Robert D. Reed and wife, Juana of Agency, Mo., R. Lee Woodson, IV and wife, Kim of LaFollette, John D. Hall and wife, Jen of Daytona Beach, Fla.; great grandchildren, Amanda Reed, Ashlee Reed, Allison Reed, Blakelse Schimmel, Dani Woodson, Laney Woodson and Aleah Woodson; step granddaughters, Morgan Johnson, Kelli Johnson and Miranda Johnson; special friend, Dolores Bartley. Bob was president of Woodson's Super Market and Woodson's Mall; he served on the Board of Directors of First National Bank from 1970 to present. Developed the Sunsphere for the 1982 World's Fair. He was a member of Reach Board of Directors, a board member of the Cumberland Mountain Chapter of Boy Scouts, also a charter member of the LaFollette Optimist Club and a charter member of the LaFollette Development Corporation. The family will receive friends Friday January 5 at the LaFollette United Methodist Church from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. with funeral services to follow, Rev. Danny Hensley officiating. Family & friends will meet 11 a.m. Saturday at Campbell Memorial Gardens for interment service. If preferred in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Reachs, P.O.
