Knoxville, TN

Roger William Giles, age 72, of Knoxville, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 12, 2015, after a long battle with small cell lung cancer. He was born December 21, 1942 in Los Angeles, California. Roger was employed by Sea Ray boats for 34 years, and always enjoyed boating on the lake.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Reva Giles; and brother, James Giles, MD. Roger is survived by his fiancée, Barbara Milligan; children, Stephen Giles, Michael Gile,s and Teri Giles Lee; grandchildren, Stephen Giles Jr., Hannah Giles, and Bryce Lee.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on June 18, 2015 at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 1001 Ebenezer Road, Knoxville, TN, followed by a Celebration of Life at 7:00 p.m. Arrangements by Cremation Options, Inc. (865)6WE-CARE (693-2273). www.cremationoptionsinc.com.

Barbara, Roger was a special man. I will always remember how good he was to me when I was at my worst.(I became one of his girls). His love for animals tells you what a gentle man he was. I went to work at Sea Ray in 1996 as the receptionist and Roger worked in the International Dept. I remember his love for boating, corvettes and of course his little doggie "Flash". My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
