Sadie Edward, was born February 25, 1938 in Beaufort, South Carolina to Samuel and Mary Brown and passed away on August 9, 2015. She attended school in South Carolina, and at the age of 20, she relocated to Brooklyn, NY and lived there until the last three weeks of her life, where her sister Daisy brought her home to Knoxville to care for her. She was a faithful member of Old Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Brooklyn, NY, and a retired laundry tech.

Sadie was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Edward; and her parents. She is survived by her daughter, Ruby Jean Brown; devoted sister, Daisy Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family to include dear friend, Frankie Riddles.

The family will receive friends Saturday, August 15th 4:00-4:30 p.m., with the service to follow at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 2137 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, Knoxville, Tn 37915, Elder Christopher Battle, Sr., Pastor and Rev. Eugene Carter, Jr., eulogist. Flowers may be delivered to the church on Saturday.
