The sun goes down, but gentle warmth still lingers on the land, the music stops, and yet it echoes on in sweet refrain...
For every joy that passes, something beautiful remains.
Wayne will live in our hearts always. He was truly a unique person and we will miss him.
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. May God give us all comfort and peace.

Mrs. Vyvian McCarthy, I remember spending time at Chester and Janie's house in LaPlata, MD. in the late 60's and early 70's. I always admired Wayne especially for his service to our country. I was always remembering him with great pride. I was a little boy back then I only wish I got to know him better. God bless him and I will remember him in my prayers. I am John F. McCarthy of LaPlata/Indian Head, MD. I am Wayne's first cousin--son of Francis D. and Imogene A. McCarthy. I was a U.S. Navy Corpsman in the 80's. I am very proud that his burial is at Arlington, VA. I only got to know Wayne the last few years I worked in Knoxville. He was a great guy and will be missed. My thoughts are with you and your family.
