Wanda Maxine Long, age 77, of Vonore, passed away 4:01 P.M. Monday, November 9, 2015 at her home. A retired secretary in the Monroe County School system for 38 years. Hobbies include working crossword puzzles, reading books and loved animals.
Survivors, husband of 58 years, Frank Long; grandsons, Kevin Long, Sweetwater, Cody Long, Vonore, Elric Long, Cory Long, both of Tallassee, AL; 3 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Tonya Long, Tallassee, AL; half sister, Cathy Jenkins, Maryville; half brothers, David Simerly, Alcoa, Roger Simerly, Ajijic, Mexico, Dale Simerly, Middleburg, FL, Ronald Law, Maryville; sister-in-law, Joyce Millsaps; brother-in-law, John (Jay) Long, both of Madisonville; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by sons, Michael and Marcus Long; parents, Arvel and Reba Vaden Law; half brothers, Claude and Corbin Simerly; daughter-in-law, Brenda Patterson Long.
Funeral 7:00 P.M. Friday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, Rev. Tommy Self officiating. Interment 11:00 A.M. Saturday, Big Toqua Cemetery. Family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 P.M. Friday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
