William Barkman Obituary

William D. Barkman II Crown Point (LOFS) ] William D. Barkman II, age 54, of Crown Point (Lakes of Four Seasons) passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2003. William was a graduate of Kemper Military Academy and Central Methodist College. He was the C.E.O. of Regional Federal Credit Union and C.E.O. of Chicagoland Credit Union. He was most recently retired from Enterprise Trucking Company. He was a member and former secretary of the Lions Club of Chicago Heights, Illinois and member of the Men's Lakes of Four Seasons Golf Club. He was a 32nd Degree Mason. He was preceded in death by his mother Rhae Barkman on March 5, 2003. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Peggy Barkman of Lakes of Four Seasons, father, William David Barkman of Illinois, sister, Monty (Larry) Thies of Illinois, mother-in-law Louise VanDeWoestyne of Illinois; sister-in-law Kay (John) Fifer of Illinois; brother-in-law, Gene (Paula) VanDeWoestyne of Iowa; one nephew, Brandon (Katrina) Fifer of Illinois; and some very special caregiving friends from Lakes of four Seasons. Friends may visit with the family at the Burns Funeral Home, (corner 101st and Broadway), Crown Point Chapel on Thursday, October 9th, from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. Memorial visitation at the Gibson Funeral Home, Erie, Illinois on Saturday, October 18, 2003 with interment immediately following. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Anthony Hospice or to the family.

I was so sorry to hear about Corky and Rhae. I did not know about Rhae until I read about Corky. I have lost touch with your family over the years but I think of you often. You are all in my prayers. Mary Ellen
