William Henry Obituary

HENRY, WILLIAM DAVID - age 71 of Knoxville born April 30, 1936 passed away Thursday Sept. 20 2007 at Hillcrest North Nursing Center. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Henry was preceded in death by parents: E.A. and Emma Henry; brothers: Arnold, Tom, James C., and Fred; sisters: Dorothy Sawyer and Mary Tarver. Survived by son: David Henry; sisters: Pearl Henry, Jean Edwards and husband Lamar; brother: Bob Henry and wife Nancy; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends will meet at the main entrance to Greenwood Cemetery 9:45 A.M. Saturday for graveside service at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Deron Cobb officiating. I grew up in East Knoxville and knew Bill Henry and his older brother Bob quite well. Bill was well liked and respected by all members of the community. Our prayers go out to his family. May he rest in peace.
