WATERLOO - Bob L. Miller, 77, of Waterloo, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Jan. 17, 2025.
He was born on Aug. 21, 1947, in DeKalb County, Indiana, to Lawrence J. and Venita (Herber) Miller.
Bob was a 1965 graduate of Ashley High School.
He married Judy A. Sanders on June 15, 1974, in Edgerton, Ohio, and she preceded him in death on Aug. 8, 2022.
Bob worked for the DeKalb Highway Department, drove a cement truck for Supreme Transit and owned and operated Bob L. Miller Construction.
He was a lifelong member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Waterloo.
He also was a member of the DeKalb County Horsemen's Association and Hamilton Fish and Game Club.
In his earlier years, Bob participated in pony, mule and chicken pulling. He also enjoyed gardening, canning, taking care of his chickens and fishing. He had a wonderful sense of humor and always enjoyed learning and doing researching to acquire new knowledge.
Bob and Judy together loved teaching school children about the old days cooking on the chuck wagon. Bob was known as the camp "cookie".
His family was his passion and he proudly supported his two kids to help make their dreams come true. Bob was a loving husband, dad and Pop Pop.
Surviving are two children, Rachel A. Miller Flock, and her husband, Kevin Flock, of Battle Ground, and Ryan R. Miller and his wife, Cortney, of Ashley; one grandson, Chance Miller, along with one grandchild on the way; and two brothers, Thom and Mary Miller, of Atlanta, Georgia, and Mark and Amy Miller, of Waterloo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and six siblings, who passed away at birth.
Visitation will be from 2-7:30 p.m., on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 S. Wayne St., Waterloo, with the rosary being recited at 7:30 p.m., following visitation on Thursday.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m., on Friday, Jan. 24, 2025, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 1098 C.R. 39, Waterloo, with Father Drew Curry officiating.
Burial will take place at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery.
