Donald Jennings Obituary

GARRETT — Donald D. Jennings, 85, of Garrett died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
Mr. Jennings was born May 8, 1931 in Hamilton to Bryan and Bernice (Campbell) Jennings. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean War.
He worked in construction building homes, and worked for the Auburn Foundry for 29 years, retiring in 1996.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 178 in Garrett. He was very active in camping across the country.
Mr. Jennings married JoAnn Bride and they had surviving children: Brad (Paulette) Jennings of Corunna, Monica (Andy) Harris of Hamilton, Myra (Cecil Freeburn) Maldeney of Auburn, Misheila (Barry) Penland of Auburn, Micolea (Chris) Schlosser of Indianapolis, and Keith Jennings of Garrett.
He later married Sandra Sue Lewis, and he became the step-father to: Deb (Dave) Swonger of Avilla, and Sherm (Ann) Lewis of Garrett. He is also survived by: 17 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; a brother, Wilford (Kate) Jennings of Hamilton; and a sister, Phyllis (Thomas) Wright of Oregon.
Mr. Jennings was preceded in death by: his parents; his first wife, JoAnn Jennings; and his second wife, Sandra Sue Jennings.
There will be no visitation or services conducted per Mr. Jennings' request.
