Garrett - Dottie was born February 28, 1928 in Flagstaff, AZ to Gordon R. and Teresa (Michelbach) DeBruler. She married Nary D. Moore on February 3, 1951 in Ligioner, IN and he passed away on October 26, 1984. Dottie was a registered nurse – working at the Garrett Community Hospital from 1961-1969 Roselane Nursing Home, Seymour, IN from 1969-1973. She later worked At Provena Sacred Heart Home – Avilla, IN from 1982-1985.

Dottie was a volunteer at St. Martin's Healthcare in Garrett and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church – Garrett, IN, the Rosary Society, DeKalb County Nursing Association, and Alumni Association at St. Francis School of Nursing.

Dottie is survived by her 2 daughters: Catherine Dickerson, Auburn, IN; Patricia Jean Taylor, FL; 3 sons: Freeman Moore, Okeechobee, FL; David Moore, Auburn, IN; Thomas Moore, Rising Sun, IN; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.

Dottie was preceded in death by her husband: Nary D. Moore, parents: Gordon R. and Teresa DeBruler; and 1 grandson.

Visitation will take place from 5-7 p.m. Friday, December 5, 2025 at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, IN.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 6, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church – Garrett, IN. with Fr. Brian Isenbarger officiating.

Burial will follow in Sparta Cemetery – Kimmell, IN

Memorials are to the St. Joseph Catholic School, St. Martin's Healthcare or Riley Children's Hospital
