Jack Emerick Obituary

HUDSON — Jack D. Emerick, 73, of Hudson, died on January 14, 2017.
He was born in Stroh, Indiana, on January 30, 1943, to John Halsey and Evaleena Emerick. He married Ellen S. McInturf August 10, 1963, she survives. He retired from Dana as a supervisor after many years.
He is survived by three sons: Tony and Karen Emerick of Vidalia, Georgia, Barb and Jack Emerick Jr. of Angola, Indiana, Tina and Rick Emerick of Angola, Indiana, and one daughter: Kimberly and Brian Squier of Helmer, Indiana. He is also survived by three brothers: Bud Halsey of LaGrange, Indiana, Mike Emerick of Angola, Indiana, and Pat Wogoman of Angola, Indiana, and four sisters: Charlotte Janes of Howe, Indiana, Carolyn Patrick of Stroh, Indiana, Bonnie Day of Stroh, Indiana, and Cathy Gaff of Angola, Indiana. He had 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Megan Emerick, a brother, Jimmie Emerick, a sister, Sharon Hunter, and a brother-in-law, Wayne Janes.
A viewing will be held at Johnson Funeral Home, Hudson, on Thursday, January 19, 2017, from 3-7 p.m. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, January, 20, 2017. Pastor Craig Burkholder will officiate. Burial will follow at Circle Cemetery, Hudson, Indiana.
