James Royal Obituary
ANGOLA - James Andrew "Jim" Royal, age 79, of Angola, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025, at his home.
He was born on April 2, 1946, in Butler to the late John and Emma (Lothamer) Royal.
Jim attended Hamilton High School.
He was employed by Cole Cycle in Angola as a mechanic. He enjoyed being outside, listening to country music, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his children, Christina (Kevin) Gick of Decatur, Indiana, Jada Carlisle of Bryan, Ohio, Malinda Gramling of Angola, Jesse (Heather) Royal of Waterloo, Ray (Cinnamon) Royal of Lynchburg, Tennessee, and Alan (Hannah) Royal of Winchester, Indiana; 21 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Dorthy Meyers of Butler.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Melvin, John Jr., Elder and Leonard; and sisters, Ruth Ann, Rosemary and Rita.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont.
Burial will be held in Hamilton Cemetery at a later time.
Memorial contributions in his memory may be directed to the family.
