Joanne Roselle

FORT WAYNE — Joanne Elizabeth Roselle, 80, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, died on January 31, 2018, with her family by her side at the Visiting Nurse Hospice and Home in Fort Wayne.
She was born on March 15, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan, to Harry Washell and Elizabeth (Nolan) Washell. She married Leonard J. Roselle on December 15, 1956, in Angola, Indiana and moved to Butler, Indiana, to start a family.
Joanne enjoyed bird watching, anything to do with nature and spending time at Pokagon State Park.
She had no shortage of love to give. She was an extraordinary wife and mother, gave her life to her home and family, and nothing made her happier. Joanne will forever be missed.
Joanne is survived by her husband, Leonard J. Roselle of Fort Wayne; daughter Annette Roselle and husband Todd Kozlowski; sons Tony Roselle and wife Michelle and Michael Roselle and wife Rosie; seven grandchildren, Alexis, Amy, Anthony, Ellie, Sophia, Olivia and Michael; one great-granddaughter, Miranda; and her sister, Barbara Devlin and husband Vince of Ocala, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son Lenny Roselle; and brothers Frank Washell and Edward Washell.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 8, 2018, at the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, Indiana, with Father Jack Overmyer officiating.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2018, and from 10-11 a.m. Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Committal service will be in the Our Lady of Hope Catholic Cemetery, Brownstown, Michigan (Detroit area), on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pokagon State Park for the Nature Center.
