HUNTERTOWN - Charles "Chuck" John Logar, 77, of Huntertown, Indiana, passed away at home on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025.
He was born on Sept. 6, 1947, son of the late John M. and Faye Louise (McComb) Logar.
He graduated from Huntertown High School and obtained a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from Indiana University.
He was a technical marketing manager, specializing in sonobuoys, retiring from USSI (formally Magnavox) after more than 50 years.
Chuck married his childhood sweetheart, Ruth (Dickes) Logar, on Aug. 9, 1969, in Huntertown, Indiana, and they were happily married for 46 years.
They were both lifelong residents of Huntertown, Indiana, and active members of Lifehouse Church.
He is survived by sons, Matt (Sara) Logar, of South Lyon, Michigan, and their children, Jack and Alex Logar; son, Brad Logar, of Lakewood, Colorado, and his children, Jonah and Charlie Logar; a daughter, Jenny (Zach) Crabill, of Huntertown, Indiana, and their children, Logan and David Crabill; and a sister, Jan (Mark) Friedmeyer, of Columbia City, Indiana.
He had a special love for his wife, kids and grandkids.
Chuck enjoyed traveling and was fortunate to journey around the world, professionally and personally with family. He enjoyed yard work, swimming, reading and bicycling. He especially enjoyed the Fourth of July and hosting annual parties. Chuck was an avid fan of Purdue sports.
Chuck was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ruth (Dickes) Logar.
A visitation was held Sunday, Jan. 26, 2025, at Lifehouse Church, 16115 Lima Road, Huntertown, IN 46748.
A funeral service was held on Monday, Jan. 27, 2025.
Pastor Seth Lochmueller officiated.
Burial followed at Huntertown Cemetery.
