COLUMBIA CITY - Matthew Alan Weber, 58, of Columbia City, Indiana, passed away surrounded by his family, on Monday, Sept. 25, 2023, after a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer.
Matthew was born on Oct. 13, 1964, in Lafayette, Indiana, son of the late Lynn Alan Weber and Kay Alois (Moser) Weber-Sanders.
He was a 1982 graduate of Harrison High School, holding records in basketball. He later graduated from St. Joseph's College in Rensselaer, where he continued his exceptional basketball career, setting several records there as well.

Matthew was very passionate about donating his time and talent to developing girls and boys into not only good basketball players, but also great people and young adults.
Along with his wife, Renetta, he is survived by two children, Jordan (Benjamin) Kunkel and Matthew Jacob Weber; mother, Kay Weber-Sanders; brother, Brad Wayne Weber; and granddaughter, Madeline Kunkel.
He was preceded in passing by his father, Lynn Alan Weber; and siblings Mary Claire Weber and James Benjamin Weber.
