Send FlowersAUBURN - Patricia Ann "Pat" Rothenhofer, 83, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Auburn, Indiana, Pat was the daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (Whetsel) Farrington.
She graduated from Waterloo High School and went on to earn her degree from International Business College.
During her career, Pat served as a department manager for the DeKalb County Government Offices, where she was instrumental in bringing technology to the courthouse and was known for her professionalism, dedication, and kind spirit.
Pat was a faithful member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, where her faith in Jesus Christ was steadfast and central to her life. She lived each day guided by that faith, sharing her love for the Lord with family and friends alike.
She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and music, and was an enthusiastic fan of Grace College and Purdue Basketball. Pat loved her family and cherished the time spent with all her grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband, Larry Rothenhofer; and daughter, Laura (Steve) Warner; stepdaughter, Jill (Kevin) Sherlock; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; siblings, John Farrington, Jim (Camille) Farrington, Rex Farrington, and Julie (Randy) Ramsey; brother-in-law, Gary Rockey; and daughter-in-law, Angie Rothenhofer.
Pat was preceded in death by her children, Elizabeth "Betsy" Carroll and Doug Rothenhofer; and sister, Louise Rockey.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 7710 E. State St., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior.
Calling will be on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2025, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St.
Burial will be at St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran School.
