Send FlowersCOLUMBIA CITY - Robert "Bob" Lonnie Hudson, age 85, was born in Toledo, Ohio, on Oct. 29, 1940, and passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025.
Bob was the beloved son of Lonnie Uri Hudson and Martha Geraldine Hudson.
He graduated from Toledo Scott High School in 1958.
He dedicated more than 45 years to the automotive industry, most notably at Manchester Auto Supply. He also served twice as president of the Indiana Automotive Wholesalers Association, a role he was very proud of.
8Bob married the love of his life, Susie Ann Hudson, in 1997, and together they built a beautiful family.
He is survived by Susie; his four children, Bradley Eugene Hudson (Whitney), Eugene Kenneth Peoples (Erica), Angela Marie Weber (Michael) and Tammy Sue Yeaser (Chuck). He leaves behind 16 grandchildren; and one great-grandson, all of whom he loved and adored.
Bob was a gifted pool player, who could move a cue ball like no one else. He was the reigning family Yahtzee champion and rarely let a day go by without playing a game with Susie. His passions included sprint cars, working with Paul Hazen, golfing, music, and singing proudly for his church.
Bob served his community for 21 years as a dedicated member of the New Haven Lions Club. His favorite service was helping with health screenings at local elementary schools, where he enjoyed supporting children and families.
Bob never met a stranger. His smile could light up any room, and his heart was full of a love deeper than words. He leaves behind a large circle of family and friends who will forever cherish his kindness, humor, and warmth. In loving memory of the kindest man we ever knew, Robert "Bob" Lonnie Hudson.
