BUTLER - Rusty D. Harter, 51, passed away on Friday, Sept. 19, 2025, at Laurels of DeKalb Nursing Home in Butler, Indiana..
He was born on Feb. 17, 1974, in Auburn, Indiana. His father, Dale Harter has passed away. His mother and stepfather, Nancy and Duane Voirol, survive in Auburn.
Rusty worked at Bohren Trucking, Broadview Lumber Company, Steak and Shake and Sechler's Pickle Factory.
He was a member of the Hamilton Lions Club. He enjoyed fishing, crafts, drawings and gardening. He loved being around people and watching sports, especially Purdue and Michigan.
Rusty is survived by his mother and stepfather, Nancy and Duane Voirol of Auburn; four brothers a sister and their spouses, Ryan and Meagen Voirol, of Waterloo, Paul and Julie Voirol, of Auburn, Roger and Jackie Voirol, of Fremont, Douglas and Sherri Voirol, of Auburn and Susan and Ken Kasinger, of Auburn; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center Street, Auburn, Indiana, with burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery in Newville.
Calling will be three hours prior to the service on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given in memory of Rusty, to the Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Department.
