BUTLER - Samuel C. DeLong, 60, of Butler, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025, at the Laurels of DeKalb in Butler.
He was born on Oct. 19, 1964, in Garrett, Indiana.
Sam worked for the Halex Corporation in Hamilton for eight years, Universal Tool and Stamping in Butler for eight years and then retired from Bohn Aluminum Corporation in Butler in 2008.
Sam married Jeanie S. Evans on May 29, 1987, in Auburn, and she survives in Butler.
He enjoyed fishing, collecting knives and arrowheads. He also enjoyed playing cornhole, Sudoku, and the dice game, 10,000. Sam loved spending time with his family and his dogs.
Also surviving are four children, Jeffrey V. and Cindy Frigo, of Waterloo, Anthony P. "Tony" and Theresa Frigo, of Hicksville, Ohio, Mark A. Frigo, of Butler and Deneta J. and Larry Belliinger, of Angola; 10 grandchildren, Mary, Justin, Taylor, Tyler, Angel, Ashley, Codi, Dalton, Brooke and Chase; 13 great-grandchildren; and five siblings, Don DeLong, of Auburn, Bill Hartzel, of Richmond, Wendy (Terry) Spryn, of Cecil, Ohio, Cathy (Michelle Golden) Little-Todd, of Elkhart and Bridget Priest of Richmond.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald E. DeLong; mother and stepfather, Ruth J. and Joe Little; mother-in-law, Edna Kurvers; and a brother, James D. DeLong.
Services will be held at noon on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 S. Wayne St., Waterloo, with Brother Bud Owen officiating.
Burial will take place at Butler Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon, on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025, prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to Sam's family, in care of his wife, Jeanie DeLong.
