Sharon Kuhlman Obituary
SANTEE, Calif. - Sharon Ann Kuhlman, 90, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025, at her home in Santee, California, due to an unexpected heart attack.
She was born on Dec. 11, 1934, to Edward and Genevieve Smith in Auburn, Indiana.
Sharon graduated from Auburn High School in 1952, where she dated her future husband, Dale. She graduated from International Business School in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and was employed by Indiana-Michigan Electric Co. in Fort Wayne, Indiana, until she married Dale Kuhlman on July 21, 1956, in Auburn, Indiana. They then moved to San Diego, where Dale was employed.
Sharon always enjoyed music and sang in Catholic church choirs all her adult life. She was a member of the Guardian Angels Choir in Santee for 47 years. She was also a member of the San Diego Festival Chorus and made three trips to Europe, participating in performances in many countries. She was on the Board of Directors as secretary for the Santee-Lakeside Boys & Girls Club for 13 years.
In her earlier years Sharon was an artist and enjoyed painting with oils. She participated in many amateur art shows and sold numerous paintings.
After Dale's retirement in 1995, Sharon and Dale enjoyed traveling to many countries and throughout the USA.
Surviving are her husband, Dale; their daughter, Kristi; their sons, Craig and Kenneth, along with his wife Vien; three grandchildren, Rebecca, Kevin and Alexander; also a brother, Richard E. Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Sending love and prayer to all of the family. Aunt Sharon is my godmother - it is a sadness that we moved so far away to Florida when I was young and we weren't able to get together but I treasure the few times that I was able to visit as an adult. She was the cantor at my wedding in 1987 and she and I shared a hotel room the night before the ceremony. Her voice was a beautiful gift that she shared for so many years. Sharon was a devoted wife, mother,and grandmother. She devoted her life to caring for them and was a credit to the community. She will be greatly missed. God bless her.
