ANGOLA - Shiela Sheets, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025, at the age of 58.
Born on Aug. 9, 1967. in Angola, Indiana, she lived a life filled with love, laughter, and care for everyone around her.
Shiela was known for her kind spirit, generosity, and warm smile. She cherished time with her family and found the most joy in spending time with her grandbabies. Those who knew her will remember her strength and ambition to help others.
She is survived by her children, Michael Green (Sara), Sterling Palmerton (Alex), Destiny Palmerton (Nathan), and Derango Sheets; her grandchildren, Hayden Palmerton, Drake Green, Emilyn Wray, and Lyric Wray; her husband, John Sheets; her siblings, Bobbie Leland, Veronica Sessford, Mark Sessford, Christy Frederick, and Montika Weldon; her stepchildren, John, Dakota, and Michael Sheets and their children.
She was preceded in death by her son, Donavan Green; her mother, Rose Wilcox; her stepson Terrence Sheets; and her sister, Theresa Bussing.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, at the Angola American Legion from noon to 3 p.m.
Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate her life.
Her compassion and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
