Stephanie D. Bontrager, age 35, of Howe, Indiana, passed away due to complications during cancer treatments at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis.

She was born on February 28, 1990, in South Bend, Indiana, to Kenneth E. "Sam" Hall, Jr. and Fawn L. (Garlets) Hall.

Stephanie grew up in the Mongo area of LaGrange County and was a 2008 graduate of Prairie Heights High School, where she enjoyed being actively involved in the FFA program. Those years helped shape her strong work ethic, sense of responsibility, and love for community.

On August 27, 2011, Stephanie married Dannie H. Bontrager at New Life Fellowship in Topeka, Indiana. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and love.

Stephanie was employed as the manager of the Shipshewana Auction Restaurant; a role she took great pride in. Even more important to her was raising her three children and being a devoted, loving mother. She poured her heart into her family and was deeply committed to their well-being. Stephanie also enjoyed giving back to her community and volunteered with the Mongo United Methodist Women's Group, reflecting her caring spirit and servant's heart.

Stephanie is survived by her husband, Dannie Bontrager of Howe; her children, Kenneth Bontrager, Sophia Bontrager, and Darrin Bontrager, all at home; her parents, Kenneth E. "Sam" Hall, Jr. and Fawn Hall of Howe; her brother, Dustin (Muranda) Hall of LaGrange; her mother-in-law, Katie Bontrager of Millersburg; four brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Kenneth E. Hall, Sr. and Gaythel Hall, Kenneth Garlets; and her father-in-law, Harley Bontrager.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 West Michigan Street, LaGrange, Indiana.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at the Brighton Chapel, 5415 North State Road 3, Howe, Indiana, with Rev. James Bartlett officiating. Burial will follow at Mongo Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Stephanie's memory to Mongo United Methodist Church.
