• The annual dinner of the DeKalb County Historical Society gathered at the First United Methodist Church in Auburn in November 1975. Guest speaker was Barbara Hutmacher, a collector, originator and owner of "Century of Fashion." Hutmacher who made fashion styles for her business for more than 25 years, served as fashion merchandising coordinator at International Junior College in Norway. She has 16 years in retailing as a fashion and special events coordinator and fashion director and has been associated with Mademoiselle Magazine's College board, Seventeen magazine as a junior board advisor and teen board consultant and with Harper's Bazaar Magazine's 100th Anniversary Show. The Angola High School graduate attended Ward Belmont Junior College in Nashville, Tenn. and Butler University in Indianapolis.
