Virginia Crody Obituary
HAMILTON - Virginia E. Crody, 84, of Hamilton, Indiana, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at her home in Hamilton, Indiana.
Virginia was born on Oct. 27, 1940, in Linton, Indiana, to Alex Zander and Mary Ella (Sumner) Wright.
She graduated from Lyons High School in Lyons, Indiana.
Virginia had worked at Hargers Meats in Hamilton, Indiana, and for Key Plastics in Hamilton, Indiana, before retiring.
She was a member of United Methodist Church in Butler, Indiana, and a member of Hamilton American Legion Post 467 Auxiliary.
Surviving are her sons, James D. Crody, of Hamilton, Indiana, and Byron K. and Tennelle (Quick ) Crody, of Angola, Indiana; daughter-in-law, Rosie (Baldridge) Crody; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Moses Gene Crody on Oct. 3, 1994; son, Kevin Gene Crody on Dec. 6, 2022; and sister, Barbara DeCaro on April 21, 2025.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Bethel Cemetery in Hamilton, Indiana.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
