David MacQuarrie Obituary

David MacQuarrie 61, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at his home. He was born November 25, 1963 in Cuba, NY, son of Priscilla and Alfred MacQuarrie. David graduated from Marmaton Valley High School in Moran, KS. David had most recently worked in Security, working at Tyson Foods and Guardsmark Security. He also used to haul hay for a family friend, Gary Burdick. He enjoyed listening to music, especially Elvis and Johnny Cash, and watching John Wayne movies. David enjoyed building and collecting model cars. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. David was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include: sister, Deborah (Warren) Johnson of Moran, KS, brother, Brian (Marie) MacQuarrie of Fresno, CA, nephews and nieces, Marci, Nicole, Denise, Sondra, B.J., Brianna Lynn, and several great-nieces and great-nephews. David has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home. An Inurnment will be at the Moran Cemetery in Moran, KS at later date. Memorials are requested to the American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association or Friends of the Animal Shelter in St. Joseph. Online condolences and obituary at www.ruppfuneral.com.
