Judy Goben Obituary

Judy Irene Goben 84, of Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025 in a Wathena, KS health care center. She was born August 30, 1940 in St. Joseph, MO, daughter of the late Elva and Virgil Gann. She graduated from Benton High School, and was a homemaker and seamstress. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Dale and Robert E. Gann, sisters: Betty Hovey, Lois Burnett, Dorothy Burnett, Glenrose "Posey" Seward, and Sara "Sudie" Peck. Survivors include: son, Patrick Shanks of St. Joseph, MO, and daughter, Amy (Shawn) Barter of Winchester, KS, sister, Elizabeth McVicker of St. Joseph, MO, grandchildren: Cameron Chapman, Bryce Chapman, Darian Chapman, Stephanie Bush, Cory Shanks, and Heather Shanks, and 14 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services and public live stream; 10:00 am, Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at the Rupp Funeral Home, Rev. Dave Hugger Officiating. The Interment will be at the King Hill Cemetery.
