Sandra Sue Cusick

Sandra Sue (Goold) Cusick, 78, of Oak Grove, Missouri passed away Monday, August 19, 2024, surrounded by her family after a long battle with dementia.
Sandy was born March 11, 1946, in Fremont, Nebraska, to Jack and Ann Goold. Jack served in the Navy, and Sandy spent her early years living in Hawaii along with many other locations as she became accustomed to moving often. The family eventually settled in Chillicothe, Missouri.
After Sandy graduated High School, she attended beauty school and became a beautician. She met and married Edward Russell Cusick in Chillicothe on June 4, 1966. Ed and Sandy were married for 58 years and had three children. Sandy had many jobs throughout her life that included being a Stay at Home Mom, Day Care Director, Manager, and Preschool Teacher. She loved working with children, and they loved "Mrs. Sandy." She loved doing crafts and creating things for her family.
Sandy is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Ann Goold, and nephew, Chad Goold. She is survived by her husband; Edward Russell Cusick, children; Edward Russell (Rusty) Cusick, Jr. and wife, Wendy, Randy Cusick and wife Julie, and Wendy Alley and husband, Tony, grandchildren; Colby Cusick, Chris Alley, Jordan Alley, and Logan Cusick, brother Jack Goold, Jr and wife Jane, sister-in-law; June Kulhman and husband Don, nieces Kelly Fleming, Alicia Large and nephew Derek Kulhman.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 3:00 pm at Heaton-Bowman-Smith Sidenfaden Chapel, 3609 Frederick Ave, St. Joseph, MO. A visitation will take place before the service from 2:00-3:00 pm.
